The Prayer Journal is built on a simple promise: we never see your prayers. Everything you enter stays on your device in your browser's local storage. When you close the app, your data stays on your device. When you uninstall or clear your browser data, it's gone — but only because you chose to remove it.
We didn't build this app to harvest data. We built it because we believe prayer is sacred, personal, and between you and God.
Nothing. The Prayer Journal does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on any server. There are no user accounts. There is no login. There is no database.
All data you enter — prayer requests, intercession entries, gratitude entries, Scripture prayers, answered prayers — is stored exclusively in your device's browser localStorage. It never leaves your device.
If you choose to enter your email address in the "Stay in the loop" form on our landing page, that email address is stored securely via Netlify Forms. We use it only to send occasional updates, new feature announcements, and encouragement. We will never sell, share, or misuse your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Premium subscriptions are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. We never see or store your payment information. All billing is handled directly by Stripe under their own privacy policy and security standards.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking on the app. Our hosting provider Netlify collects basic server logs (IP addresses, request times) for operational purposes — this is standard for any web host and is governed by Netlify's privacy policy.
You own your data completely. The Prayer Journal includes a free JSON Export feature that lets you download everything you've entered as a portable file. You can import it to any device. If we shut down tomorrow, you keep everything.
The Prayer Journal is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
If we ever change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Our core commitment — your prayers stay on your device — will never change.
